Isaac & Lee: The Beginning
Well, here you have it. The first thumbnails of Isaac & Lee #1:
Isaac & Lee was the first mini comic that I self-published. I had no idea what the process was for creating a comic, not really. The only knowledge I had was from books that I read when I was a kid and from my training in pre-press and press operations. When I started there was no such thing as Ka-Blam, Print-on-Demand services and webcomics were in their infancy. So my friend was Kinkos and my home printer.
Isaac & Lee 2017
Hello everyone!
Sorry I’m late, this was a complete mess up with my scheduling app. But I should be back on track! Next week I’m going to start posting old roughs of Isaac & Lee, starting at the beginning! I’ll also include a new sketch so if nothing else you can see how much the art style has changed over the years. I’ll go over how it all started, so stay tuned!

Isaac & Lee – The State of the Comic
As we draw to the close of issue #9, so does the first story arch. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve really enjoyed developing these characters.
Over the past few years, the webcomic has been catching up to the hard copy comic. We are now at a point where it’s caught up and no further story has been created. I needed a bit of a break from the characters.
I have taken that break and have begun work on the next issue. However, it’s going to take some time before any pages are ready to be posted. So, after a two week break (which doesn’t include Isaac’s Run), I’m going to go back and post some of the initial ideas and sketches that I had for the series. I’m also going to post some concept sketches for characters and post some process work and of course there’ll still be exciting new instalments of Isaac’s Run.
When I get back to posting the main I’m going to change up the format a bit, although you won’t really see a difference. I’m moving to the normal model for webcomics, which is posting the pages first online *then* collect them in a printed format. Crazy, I know.
I’m hoping that the new format will be able to speed up my time on getting a book out and hopefully improve the quality of the finished print book. Basically, I’m doing it all for you, my loyal readers and fans.
Right now, I’d like to thank you all for sticking by me all of these years and I look forward to telling you more adventures of Isaac & Lee.
