I like to think of Isaac & Lee as a melodrama.
This is the first appearance of Lee’s roommate Anne. While Lee is the logical one compared to Isaac. Anne is Lee’s voice of reason when he flies off the handle. Also, this is the first appearance of Lee’s home, I had a lot of fun designing the kitchen.
The very top cover is the original cover for issue #3 but over the years, I decided to give the books a bit of a facelift.
And so the adventure begins! (and we learn that Lee isn’t as innocent as he would have us believe.)
Ah the old days when I tried to condense story lines into one page.
At this time I’d like to give a special shout out to the real Isaac. Happy Birthday!
I like these kinds of scenes with Isaac and Lee. These are the ones that really see how they play off of each other and how they goad each into the situations they find themselves in.
Ah Lee, always so nervous and stressed. Sometimes he reminds me of Tony Randall’s character from the Odd Couple.
Isaac’s superhuman ninja-skills. Oh man, the hair is one thing I’m glad I got away from. I had to re-ink the hair after I penciled it. Drawing each strand of hair? What was I thinking?
Another one of those great moments when we get to see a paranoid Isaac.
