Yet another page that I look at and shudder. I have learned quite a bit about inking with Photoshop over the years. All I can say is that I understand why artists are tempted to rework old pieces, as if by doing so they scream out, “I’m not as crappy as I used to be!!! I promise!”
Or maybe that’s just me.

Lee’s lessons in customer service 101.
As we all know. Timing is everything.
I really like the character of Rich, he is a good supporting character for Lee. I find it interesting that as I’ve added more characters to the story, how much more detailed each one gets, although I’ve made a conscious decision not to draw them realistically, some of it still creeps into the work.
Enter the romantic interest. I initially introduced this girl because I wanted to show how Lee interacts with the ladies. I won’t go into too much depth here yet suffice to say that she is used to help develop Lee’s character.
Continuing the parody but also please note that real life Lee can go on about that much information and give you the movie you are thinking of.
This is another page where I sit, stare at it and think of how I would do it completely differently now.
This was the all antagonist issue. Each antagonist took a lot of work at the time for me to come up with a character design.
I have to admit, I really struggled with the character design for these two antagonists. Although I have warmed up to them now. With this comic, I’ve always tried to keep the character designs simple and sketchy. I wanted to have simple characters, in a complex world with complex story lines…for the most part. As a result, I always feel very comfortable drawing the characters, it’s like coming home and hanging out with old friends.
